Important MSG Transformation Update

Hi,

We want to wish you a very Happy New Year as we enter 2011 with the World’s Most Famous Fans! As you know, this is a very exhilarating time to be a part of Madison Square Garden. The excitement that the Rangers are bringing on the ice will be matched by some very significant changes in The Garden, as the World’s Most Famous Arena is transformed into the World’s Most State-of-the Art Arena.

As you know, the Transformation of Madison Square Garden is well underway - work has been continuously taking place in and around the arena since the summer. The Transformation will provide a significantly enhanced experience for all fans from the first row to the last. We are now entering a phase where we are doing significant work on the concourses. This work will lead to a spectacular new Madison Concourse that will double in size and feature city views, enhanced concession stands, more restrooms and additional retail locations. There will be times where certain areas of the concourse will have little or no accessibility during games. In an effort to minimize the inconvenience this may cause, you will see staff and additional signage throughout these areas to help direct you to alternate locations.

Beginning on Wednesday, January 5th when the Rangers take on the Carolina Hurricanes, you will notice work taking place on the 6th floor concourse:

  • The hallway located on the 6th floor concourse between Gates 67 and 60 will be temporarily closed. We recommend using the arena bowl walkway to continue around the concourse.

  • While this location is temporarily under construction, the Team Store located near Gate 67 will be closed. We recommend purchasing your items in the Mall area prior to entering The Garden, at the Double Teamed Store located near Gate 66 or at the Team store located near Gate 75 on the 7th floor concourse. In addition, there will be temporary merchandise stands located throughout the 6th floor concourse.

  • In addition, the Men’s and Women’s Restrooms located in this area will be closed. The closest available Men’s Restroom is located near Gate 63 and the closest available Women’s Restroom is located near Gate 64.

By clicking the link below, you will find a table that details the areas of the concourse that are temporarily unavailable. It will also assist you in finding the closest available restrooms and merchandise locations. It is our goal to make this transition as seamless as possible. In addition, we will continue to provide ongoing updates throughout the Transformation process.

If you have any questions, please call your Rangers Account Executive or the Season Subscriptions Department at 212-465-6050.

Update on MSG Transformation

Dear Rangers Season Subscriber,

As a loyal Rangers Season Subscriber, we wanted to take this opportunity to update you on the transformation of Madison Square Garden. As you know, we are currently underway on a comprehensive, top-to-bottom transformation that will provide a significantly enhanced experience for all of our customers, and turn The World’s Most Famous Arena into the world’s most state-of-the-art arena. For the past several months construction workers have been at The Garden working around the clock preparing the building for the extensive work that lies ahead.

The Transformation will be a year-round project, sequenced to maximize construction efforts during the next three summers when The Garden will be shutdown. The Garden will remain open for the Knicks and Rangers regular seasons, and you may see construction areas throughout the building during this time. When the transformation is complete we will unveil a brand new interior, from the first seat to the last, within the iconic Garden exterior. The only thing you will recognize inside the building is The Garden's signature ceiling.

The many significant upgrades for all our guests will include, a brand new 7th Avenue entrance, significantly wider concourses, several new first-class food and entertainment amenities, improved sightlines, more comfortable seating, a dynamic new scoreboard, state-of-the-art lighting, sound and LED video systems in HD, fiber optic cabling throughout the building, new suites, clubs and hospitality areas, new one-of-a-kind bridges, and views of the city from several areas of the building.

This is a great project for New York, by funding the Transformation ourselves we are providing more than 2.6 million union labor work hours. More importantly, this is a great project for you, the most valued members of our MSG family. I can assure you that your dedication and commitment to the Rangers will be something you value even more when you have the opportunity to experience a game at the transformed Garden.

As we continue to move forward with the Transformation, you will receive regular communications and updates from us on the progress of construction and anything that may affect your experience at The Garden. We have assembled a team of Transformation Service Experts to assist you with any questions or issues that arise. Further updates are available online (www.nyrsubcentral.com) which includes answers to many Frequently Asked Questions. Our goal is to make sure you are fully informed throughout this entire process.

We are excited to share this significant moment in our history with our most loyal fans. Thank you for your unparalleled support - we have no doubt that the transformed Garden will meet your greatest expectations and continue to provide many defining moments in Rangers history.

Once again, thank you for your support and commitment to the New York Rangers, we look forward to seeing you at The Garden this season.

Sincerely,

Scott O’Neil

Opening Night!

Hi,

We can't wait to see you at Rangers Opening Night this Friday, October 15th!

As promised, we want to make sure that you know the latest information as it relates to the Transformation of Madison Square Garden and there have been a few additional changes since our last communication. As we continue to take all possible steps to minimize disruptions to fans, we are happy to announce that the Club Bar and Grill is now open for business to all Subscribers and Guests with Club Level seating. For those wishing to dine at the Club prior to the game on Friday, access is available from both the North and South Concierge entrances.

As these areas are still under construction, we ask that only those Subscribers and guests with Club Level seating and wish to dine at the Club Bar and Grill, enter through the concierge entrances. Also, as a reminder, only those Subscribers and guests who have purchased Club Level Seats and/or Suites have access to the North and South Concierge entrances.

As you know, over the next couple of months, construction related activity will continue to occur in the North and South Concierge areas of The Garden. As a result, the escalators and Terrace level outside the Club Bar and Grill remain temporarily closed. In addition, the Play-by-Play Restaurant is now permanently closed.

We will continue to provide ongoing updates throughout the Transformation process. In addition, you will see additional staff on site throughout the course of the Transformation to assist with any questions and help direct you around areas that may be temporarily out of service. If you have any questions, please call your Dedicated Account Executive or the Season Subscriptions Department at 212-465-6050. Rangers Fans! It’s time for some hockey! We couldn’t be more excited as we enter the 2010-11 New York Rangers season and celebrate our 85th Anniversary! The tradition, passion and loyalty that defines the blueshirt faithful begins with you! There is tremendous excitement surrounding the upcoming season and what promises to be an unforgettable experience for the entire Rangers organization. We thank you for being a valued member of our season subscription family and look forward to sharing many unforgettable moments with you at The Garden this season!

As you know, Madison Square Garden is currently undergoing a comprehensive, top-to-bottom Transformation that will dramatically enhance the experience for all of our guests. We are well on our way, as you will soon see, on a project that will continue until the 2013-14 season to transform The World’s Most Famous Arena into the world’s most state-of-the-art arena. Over the past several months construction workers have been working around the clock completing the necessary structural work to prepare for the massive changes ahead. Some of this work will continue throughout the season. We are taking all possible steps to minimize disruptions to fans, however this will mean some changes this season to your Rangers experience.

Over the next couple months there will be construction related activity in the North and South Concierge areas of The Garden. As a result, please note the following:

  • The Play-by-Play Restaurant has now been permanently closed
  • The Club Bar & Grill will be temporarily closed during the pre-season (reopening in early October)
  • The escalators and Terrace level outside the club will also be temporarily closed

Until further notice, we ask that all Subscribers and guests with Club Level seating enter The Garden through the main box office lobby. Also, as a reminder, when fully operational, only those Subscribers and guests who have purchased Club Level Seats and/or Suites have access to the North and South Concierge entrances.

We will continue to provide ongoing updates throughout the Transformation process. There will also be additional staff on site throughout the course of the Transformation to assist with any questions and help direct you around areas that may be temporarily out of service.
